![]() Food options are poolside or Latitudes, so a quick service option or even an ice cream place would be nice. I'm not sure if we'd return honestly for the money spent. We enjoyed ourselves and even my anxious teen was able to really relax here. We stayed for a week, which seems most people don't. Very rocky and we didn't bother after day 2. As with most places in KW, the beach is disappointing. We were here during spring break and there were a lot of kids at the pool. The layout was great with 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Our cottage was newly renovated and was gorgeous. ![]() Staff is amazing! It was so nice to come back on the ferry to this picture perfect resort. The resort itself is immaculate and the grounds are very well kept. It was beautiful, it was peaceful and we will definitely come back to Sunset Key, highly recommend!… My husband and I also used the fitness room every morning, we were usually the only ones. You can only take the ferry from KW to Sunset if you are a hotel guest of have a reservation at Latitude's which was nice, absolutely no extra people on the island. Latitude's was absolutely beautiful and yummy. We ordered food from Flippers a couple of times and had one lunch and one dinner at Latitude's. I was worried that the pool would be too warm since its so hot in KW but they keep it cool enough that it was refreshing on a hot day. We saw sting rays and jellyfish swimming around us which my kids thought was pretty cool. We brought water shoes and some of us used them and some of us didn't. As other reviewers have stated, the beach is rocky and that is true but it didn't stop us from enjoying it. Some days we were the only ones out there on the beach but it was wonderful. Key West resorts in general don't really offer beachfront access so the fact that Sunset had a private beach is what sold us. Key West is a busy and happening place and Sunset Key is a relaxing lowkey paradise which was just what we were looking for. We just returned from a 5 night stay, family of 6 (including 4 teenagers), we stayed in a 2 bedroom oceanfront cottage just steps from the beach. Musket Cove Island Resort & Marina, Fijiįrom the moment we landed on the island via Sunset Key private shuttle boat and all thru our stay just kept getting better, it’s started off being greeted by Kate at the dock with a warm and welcoming smile, greeted us by our last names as she already knew who we were and was patiently awaiting our arrival on the dock, she then proceeded to personally walk us to where we checked in and was offered cold water, fresh baked cookies and cool towels! After our very quick check in Kate then authorized these really cool wristbands to enter our room, no more lost keys, and then proceeded to personally walk us directly to our room to ensure the room was to our liking! And this is where it gets even better! Our room exceeded our expectation plus we had a welcome cheese and cracker plate as well as refrigerator filled with waters, sodas, and alcohol all included for NO additional fee! What was really cool is that Kate overheard that I enjoyed fishing, and after she toured the room with us she showed back up to our cottage with a fishing pole, tackle box and frozen bait to catch all the fish I wanted! Also completely complimentary! We will come back and have enjoyed our stay! This is a great island to relax and have some needed fun. The island has everything you need restaurant that is amazing and a spa that was equally amazing. The private beach is nice and something you dont find in the keys, so we loved it. Unfortunately the pool gets a little busy with kids that are left without adult supervision and can get really annoying to adults without kids. Pool area is nice and pool bar was always easy to get drinks. They have a fully stocked frig and even have alcohol too. You get an amazing basket delivery every morning with treats. All areas of the house were a little dated but nice and bright. The main house had a small kitchen, dining, and living room. We had 2 separate suites that had private entrances if you didn't want to go through the main house. Best of both worlds! You get the key west life on the mainland and the relaxing experience of a private island in one. If you love the keys but like some peace and quiet this is the place for you.
